Dr. Xin Wu is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Lanzhou University and Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. She received her Ph.D. from Wuhan University in 2019. From 2020 to 2023, she conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Southern California and the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Wu’s research focuses on the pathogenic mechanisms of pathogens-induced sepsis. Her work integrates clinical investigation with fundamental research, employing high-throughput approaches such as single-cell sequencing and proteomics to analyze clinical samples. Using molecular and cellular biology techniques, she aims to elucidate host–pathogen interactions and develop novel vaccines and therapeutic strategies.

She has published multiple SCI-indexed papers, including several as first or corresponding author in leading international journals such as Nature Communications, mBio, and Cell Insight. She currently serves as Principal Investigator for multiple research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program), the National Overseas High-Level Talent Program, and major projects supported by the Gansu Provincial Joint Fund.
