Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (LVRI, CAAS), founded in 1957, is one of the most outstanding institutes focused on preventive veterinary medicine in China. College of Veterinary Medicine and Biosafety (CVMB)
College of Veterinary Medicine and Biosafety (CVMB) was founded in June 2021. It is a high-level research-oriented college jointly founded by LZU and LVRI, CAAS. Supported by the strong strengths of both sides in basic research, interdisciplinary integration and industry-university-research collaboration, the College focuses on national strategies such as the Belt and Road Initiative and biosafety, and promotes cross-integration of veterinary medicine, biology, medicine, chemistry and pharmacy. It conducts cutting-edge research and high-level talent cultivation in animal disease prevention and control, biosafety technology, veterinary biologics and drug R&D, and comparative medicine. The College aims to build a national innovation center and talent highland in veterinary medicine and biosafety.
